#1141 To Say “I Love You”

One Must Know First How to Say the “I”

In our last +1, we hung out with Emerson and practiced our Squeezy-eze.

As you may recall: Squeeze. Squeeze. Squeeze. = I. LOVE. YOU!!!

(You practice yet? 😍)

Now…

When I thought about how to say “I love you” in Squeezy-eze, I thought of Ayn Rand.

(Yes, that’s how my brain is wired. 🤓)

Specifically, I thought of a line from The Fountainhead.

This one: “To say ‘I love you’ one must know first how to say the ‘I.’

Think about that for a moment longer.

To say ‘I love you’ one must know first how to say the ‘I.’

It’s kinda like that oxygen mask we’re always told to put on before trying to help others. To say “I love you” with the deepest integrity, we’ve gotta start with a strong sense of self. Of course, we don’t stop there but it is wise to START there.

Which is why, in our Mastery Series session on Love in our Carpe Diem Module, we talk about how to operationalize Love 0.0., Love 1.0, Love 2.0, and Love 3.0. (See this +1 for more.)

So…

Today’s +1.

How’s your sense of “I”?

You taking care of yourself so you have the strength for two?

Specifically: You rocking your #1 Self-Care practice?

Awesome.

Let’s Optimize Love 0.0 in service to all the other Loves in our lives.
