In our last +1, we meditated with Emerson and chatted about the 5 D’s of Meditation: Do it with Dignity and a Defined anchor with strong Determination then Do it again.
We also chatted about the fact that those 5 D’s were discussed in our session with our Coaches on the fifth fundie: Be Present.
Today we’re going to spend another moment 😉 on the subject.
It’s pretty obvious when we spend a moment or three thinking about it, but it’s worth reminding ourselves of the fact that the only moment we ever truly have is THIS MOMENT.
And… THIS ONE.
We live our lives moment to moment to moment.
Our past? That’s just a collection of past presents that led to our current realities. If we want a better future, we need to create a better collection of current presents.
In short: Want to create a better future AND enjoy life RIGHT NOW?
Make THIS MOMENT awesome.
Carpe Punctum as Dan Millman would say.
That’s Today’s +1.
Here’s to a day filled with empowered moments.
P.S. Marcus Aurelius comes to mind as well. He tells us: “Were you to live three thousand years, or even thirty thousand, remember that the sole life which a man can lose is that which he is living at the moment; and furthermore, that he can have no other life except the one he loses… This means that the longest life and the shortest amount to the same thing. For the passing minute is every man’s equal possession, but what has once gone by is not ours.”
