In our last +1, we took a moment to celebrate the power of friends as we had fun with our new favorite phrase: “Friend Power.”
I’m in love with the idea.
Especially since I officially torched my hermitage. (Who knew connecting with awesome people on a regular basis could be so much fun! Hah.)
And…
Of course, one of the first things I did after falling in love with the idea of “Friend Power” was visit my work of art known as my dictionary to discover the etymology of the word friend.
Do you know what it literally means?
It’s from an Indo-European root meaning “to love.”
Perfect.
Friend Power? Well, ultimately that’s really just “Love Power.”

As we look forward to 2020 and get ready to make it the greatest year of our lives AND the start of the greatest decade of our lives, let’s take a moment and see the smiling faces of the FRIENDS with whom we’ll be embarking on our shared heroic quests.
As we do that, let’s remember that Friend Power is really just Love Power.
And LOVE? Well, that’s the hero’s secret weapon.
Here’s to doing the work to build our strength so we can give our Friends (and the world) all we’ve got.
