In our last +1, we talked about our ego vis-a-vis our id and superego.
I made the case for why having a STRONG ego that can effectively manage our impulses and our conditioning is the ticket to the Divine.
I wrapped that up by saying that getting ourselves strong enough to allow the Divine to flow through us more and more consistently is, from my vantage point, the essence of our work together.
It’s also why our business (Optimize Enterprises, Public Benefit Corporation) was originally called “en*theos Enterprises, Public Benefit Corporation.”
en + theos. Two little Greek words. “God within.”
Put them together and what do we get?
As I said in +1 #100, when we’re living with Areté and high fiving our inner souls, we feel radiantly alive and energized—brimming with Divine enthusiasm.
That’s the ticket.
And… That’s Today’s +1.
Here’s to your enthusiasm and to doing the little things to make sure the God within you has an awesome little home.
btw: This is a good time to reflect on some genius wisdom from Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your object. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
