Scott Adams created Dilbert. He also wrote a great little manual on how to achieve success called How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big.
One of the Big Ideas from that book is getting really clear on the difference between “wishing” for something and DECIDING to get it.
Most people “wish” they could have x, y, or z of awesome in their lives.
The most successful among us DECIDE they will have x, y, or z of awesome.
The key difference?
When we DECIDE, we get clear on what we want. And, we get equally clear on the price we will need to pay to get it. And then we get busy paying it.
1. What do you want?
2. What’s the price you need to pay?
3. What’s the next step you need to take in paying it?
(P.S. GSP has some great wisdom on Sacrifices vs. Decisions you might like as well.)
