First off, let’s celebrate the reduction of sugar! Awesome.
As for fruit, we evolved to eat the fruits that grew in our local environment at a very particular time of the year. There’s a seasonality to it that often involved gaining weight before the winter, with the expectation of there being less food available.
Whole fruit also comes wrapped in fiber, which creates a different insulin response compared to fruit juice.
And, fruits should definitely not be grouped together with vegetables.
